You can find out more about Dr. Dan Siegel at http://www.drdansiegel.com/. I first heard of Dan Siegel when I was a graduate student. I was introduced to one of his videos that explained the upstairs and downstairs brain and the term “blowing their top” or “flipping your lid”. I have found Dr. Dan Siegel’s work to be very interesting, easy to understand, and most of all incredibly useful in many aspects of my life. Here is a link that looks more closely at Dr. Dan Siegel’s “hand model” of the brain for school-age students: http://attachmentdisorderhealing.com/daniel-siegel-2/

Below you will find an audio book that is free of charge, if it is your first time receiving a book on the Audible app from a friend.

I’ve listened to this audiobook “Parenting from the Inside Out: How a Deeper Self-Understanding Can Help You Raise Children Who Thrive (Unabridged)” by Daniel J. Siegel, Mary Hartzell and thought you would enjoy it too.
