What is Rainbow Connections?
Rainbow Connections is an MHSA Innovations Project led by Monterey County Behavioral Health designed to interconnect youth-serving systems with community based organizations and provide conditions to cultivate environments of support, inclusion and belonging for LGBTQ+ youth across home, school and community settings.

A Continued Collaboration through the Rainbow Connection Project
Harmony at Home is proud to continue its partnership with Monterey County Behavioral Health and its Rainbow Connection Project, working together to create safer, more inclusive spaces for all students.
Through this collaboration, Bullying Prevention Coaches are placed at selected school sites to provide hands-on support and promote kindness, acceptance, and belonging.

for school staff and administrators.
Welcoming Schools Training Modules
which help foster inclusive, affirming environments.
Support for School Clubs
Everyone Belongs Club to uplift LGBTQ+ students and allies.
Welcoming Families Workshops
that encourage meaningful conversations around inclusivity and best affirming practices at home.
Classroom Presentations
Our Classroom Presentations are designed to empower students with the knowledge, empathy, and confidence to build safer, kinder school communities.
Led by our Bullying Prevention Coaches, these interactive sessions engage students through meaningful discussions, activities, and reflection. Each presentation is developmentally tailored and centers around the themes of:
Kindness and Empathy
understanding the power of compassion and inclusion.
Upstander Skills
learning how to safely and confidently stand up for others.
Digital Citizenship
navigating technology and social media with respect and responsibility.
Celebrating Differences
fostering acceptance and appreciation for diverse identities.
Through open dialogue and age-appropriate learning, we help students recognize their role in creating environments where everyone feels safe, valued, and respected.
Together, we’re building a community where every young person feels seen, valued, and empowered to be their authentic self.
