Esmeralda Owen is a public relations and marketing consultant plus an adjunct professor of communications studies at Gavilan College. She is a broadcast journalist, published author, philanthropist, and youth mentor. Owen is an active volunteer in the community. She is on the board for the Hospice Giving Foundation, Informed Choices, in committees with Girls Inc. CC, Harmony At Home, Partners For Peace, and Hartnell College. She has worked in the Central Coast since 2005.
